AKIHO Central Europe cordially invites breeders, owners and all Akita lovers to the first AKIHO show in Poland!

Nearly 100 years ago a group of Japanese Akita (called Odate inu back then) breeders and enthusiasts that were determined to preserve and protect the native Akita breed, founded an association known nowadays as Akita inu Hozonkai (AKIHO). As a result of the organization's activities Akita was recognized a Natural National Treasure of Japan in 1931 and its official name as Akita - Akita inu was approved. Soon, the first dog registration began and finally in 1938 the first Akiho exhibition took place.

This Japanese initiative is having a wider and wider impact, and breeders from all over the continent come to the Akiho exhibitions organized in Europe. These meetings become a platform to present the most beautiful representatives of the breed and exchange breeding experiences, all under the eye of Japanese experts. So far the Akiho exhibitions in Europe have been held in Italy and for the first time in France last year. This year we are honored to invite you to this prestigious event in taking place in Poland!

In this special year, the year of famous Hachiko's 100th birth anniversary, we would like to invite you to the 1st Central Europe AKIHO Exhibition. There will be specialist seminar as well as a festive dinner organized as a part of the event, everything maintained in a relaxed atmosphere, providing the opportunity to establish and maintain friendly relations between breeders and enthusiasts of the breed. This unique event is organized, as we already mentioned, in the year of the 100th anniversary commemorating the birth of Hachiko that gained international fame thanks to its unyielding loyalty. On this special occasion we have prepared a special award - the Hachiko Trophy. It will be awarded to the most beautiful representatives of the show classes, which undoubtedly will add emotion and prestige to this unusual event.
